Hartebeest Post Farm Stay

At Hartebeestpost Guesthouse we like to make sure that you can enjoy your holiday, that is why we offer you affordable accommodation costs in a setting where you can enjoy all kinds of activities. We are self catering but are also able to offer you food packs. We also cater for motorcycle drivers! Bedding as well as cleaning services are supplied by Hartebeestpost Guesthouse.

Hartebeest Post is located on the Hartebees River Road 19 kilometers outside Uniondale en route to the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. It is the ideal stopover point for persons wishing to make an early start to explore the Baviaanskloof or alternatively a destination in its own right.

The 11 000 hectare farm has numerous 4x4 farm tracks and is also a working apple farm to keep city dwellers fascinated.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in a restored farmstead equipped with all modern amenities. It has four bedrooms three of which are en-suite and a large kitchen, lounge cum dining room with a fireplace for those Klein Karoo winter nights. The house can sleep ten persons.

The two verandas are an excellent place to soak up the sun on a winter's morning or alternatively to watch the magnificent Karoo sunsets.

Our Accommodation is selfcatering, but we are able to provide braai packages or food if it is needed. For Motorcycle drivers we will provide everything they would need. Your rooms will be cleaned before you arrive, we do provide all bedding for you.

Braaiwood is available.

The house has electricity and is equipped with appliances such as a microwave oven, electric kettle stove etc.

Activities

On the farm there are numerous farm tracks suitable for 4x4's, mountain biking and hiking. The difficulty levels of these tracks vary and each visitor can choose the most suitable option. 

There is also abundant birdlife as well as game such as Springbuck, Hartebees, Grey Rhebuck, Klipspringers, Duikers etc on the farm. Visitors are bound to encounter them on their hikes and drives.
