Nestled at the foot of the Kouga Mountain range, Bo Kouga Mountain Retreat provides a welcome getaway from the chaos of modern day living.

On this 300 hectare mountain farm you can explore nature with laid back days of tranquility amidst fauna, flora and starlit nights. Here you can enjoy sensational panoramic mountain views with exquisite sunrises in the morning. Nature lovers will enjoy the 45 minute walk through the farm and the game camp, as the Eland, Zebra and Springbok watch you curiously as you pass up the kloof to the small waterfall and rock ponds. This while enjoying the views over the valley and up the sides of the kloof with its different rock formations and the occasional view of the small animals that live there. Here you can enjoy your own picnic, swim and relax surrounded by nature. If you lucky you might see leopard tracks of the passing territorial male.

We offer peace and quiet where you can set your own pace. Swim, walk, hike, bike or just relax around your cottage or swim in the dam, the choice is yours. Some of the farm buildings and accommodation have been renovated with your comfort in mind. Some of the out buildings date back to the 1860's and other cottages are more recently built.

We are ideally situated off the R62 between the Garden Route and the Baviaanskloof. A farm vacation at its best and not very far from Uniondale (29km) or George (130km). Also ideally situated for a weekend getaway from Knysna over the Prince Alfred Pass

Bo Kouga Mountain Retreat is also a Mountain Biker's Paradise. We are a popular accommodation spot for riders in the Karoo to Coast and the Trans Baviaans.
